Monica Lane Hello! Welcome to Universal.

My name is Monica Lane. It would be my pleasure to work with your family. I have been working with children, families, and teachers for nineteen years. I have earned a BS in Early Childhood Multicultural Education, an MA in Special Education, my North Carolina B-K teaching license, and my NC Infant Toddler Family Specialist Certification.

I enjoy creating partnerships with families and teachers to support children in their development. We will find playful and enriching ways to bring out your child's strengths and address your child's needs. My areas of extensive experience include: inclusion within natural routines and environments, working with children with intensive to pervasive needs, partnering with families and other professionals, cultural sensitivity, community-based instruction, positive behavior supports/ABA, play-based interventions, and multi-sensory experiences.

It is my goal to work one on one with parents and caregivers to help their child reach the goals on his or her IFSP. I will assist parents in setting up a daily routine in their natural environment, and give parents the everyday tools that will help them to continue working on these daily goals. I am flexible and I am willing to meet in a variety of natural environments such as parks, preschools, or play groups to address the family's concerns.
