Jennifer Mizelle
Jennifer Mizelle Please allow me to introduce myself. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and Family Relations from East Carolina University. I have years of experience working with young children, and birth through age three is, by far, my favorite! I am also the mother of two beautiful little girls. I have experience in the following areas with children: developmental delays, Autism, Down Syndrome, sensory processing disorders, speech and language delays, and premature infants. I love to focus my work on infants and toddlers with special needs and premature infants. I spent many years out of college working for a family with a premature infant as their nanny. In this experience, I was able to work on the child's developmental delays as well as supporting the parents on how to best work with their child's delays in helping him function at his highest performance. I will help parents and caregivers design a daily routine to fit the needs of their child and one that will work best in the family's daily schedule. I am able to meet in a variety of settings such as playgroups, parks, or any other location that is part of your family's nature everyday routine to address your child's individual needs. If given the opportunity, I will work closely with your family to provide developmentally appropriate activities that will provide a creative way of building your child's developmental skills. I will focus on areas such as self-help skills, communication, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, social skills, emotional needs, and establishing daily routines. We can also address behavioral concerns as well. Together through play, we will create a fun learning environment. We will celebrate the small victories together as we progress toward achieving your child's long term goals. I look forward to working with your child and your family. Thank you!
