UMHS Early Intervention Program Jamie Stanley
Dear Family,
Hi, and welcome to the world of Early Intervention! My name is Jamie Stanley, and I would consider it a privilege to work with your child and family while participating in this program. I graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a BA in Therapeutic Recreation in 2006. I have worked with children since 2000 and specifically with special needs since 2005. I have continued my work with children through the EI program since 2007, working intensely with speech delays, autism, and sensory/atypical behavior needs, prematurity, and Downs syndrome.
I have 2 children myself, so I understand how precious and unique each child is. It is my desire to work with your child and you to help him/her meet developmental milestones in all areas (fine and gross motor, communication, cognitive, social/emotional, and self-help skills). If given the opportunity, I would visit your child's home or childcare center and through play we would meet his/her developmental needs. I also can assist you with activities/ideas to use while I am not there playing with your little one.
I look forward to working with your child and you. Please contact me with any questions you may have so that together we can make a difference in your child's life.
Jamie Stanley, BA, ITFS
